It's hard to believe it's been five years since we took this trip to Itasca State Park in MN. In the background of the photos is the very headwaters of the mighty Mississippi River... a very cool place to visit!

This picture was taken along one of the hiking trails in the Theodore Roosevelt National Park. The scenery was spectacular! We had a great weekend in Medora. Hopefully I will get a few more pix put on.

New Home for an Old Treasure

This beautiful Singer sewing machine belonged to my old friend Danny Brink. It was originally his mother's. He gave it to me right before he moved to the nursing home. I was in high school then. It was in safekeeping at Mom and Dad's for many years, and now has found a special place in the entryway of our home. Thanks so much Dad and Dad and Mom K for delivering it safely....

Compost.... Yes, this is one of my new favorite things. I find it so fascinating! And it's great for my gardens.
