Pillows

These are not mine, but "my" 8th Grade FACS students made them.  Aren't they cute???  It has been really fun teaching them to sew.  The coolest thing?  The students LOVED it!  Who thought 8th grade boys would love to sew?  I had my doubts, but they proved me wrong.  :)   Also... who thought 8th graders would like to crochet?  In this day and age?????  In the age of ipads, ipods, videogames, etc. etc....  ?????  Well, "my" 8th graders loved it!  "Chaining" became the coolest thing around...  There is still hope in America...!

I like Alison's Friday Photo Dump!  I'm not quite disciplined enough to do it every Friday, but every now and again I need to do this.  I think it's a great way to document simple things.

Young Hunter

Evan got his first deer early in September.  It was a special youth season, and he only hunted for an hour or two and was done!  We are happy to have the good meat.

And it led to another project for him and his dad...

August and September Catch-up

We officially have a teenager! 

 (and we couldn't have asked for a sweeter one!  We love our boy...)

The cornfield across the road lends a rather "private" feeling to our yard...  well, maybe even a bit closed in!?  We have enjoyed watching the corn this year, though.  It was a bumper crop!  (not ours!)

I love seeing the posts my family and friends put up!  Thanks for keeping up with it.   It's been a busy start to a new school year, but things are starting to calm down a bit and settle into a routine here. As you can see, our kids are growing like crazy!  We are thankful for good days.
